I’d rather not (2025)

As part of the IVSA 2025 Conference in Suwon, South Korea, I directed a short documentary titled I’d Rather Not, which portrays a woodblock print artisan who has worked on Haenggung-ro Street for 15 years. In his small studio, he reflects on the changing face of the area. His story speaks to a broader tension: as property values rise and the area becomes a tourist attraction, its creative spirit is being repackaged, small art studios are disappearing, and the original artistic community is slowly being pushed aside.

Arrhythmia (2018)

In 2018, I directed Arrhythmia, a documentary exploring mental health and the uncertainties of daily life in Iran. This documentary has been screened at international film festivals such as the Interdoc Film Festival, Festival Cinemistica, and Festival Mental – Mental Health Arts and Film Festival. It was also featured on ARTE TV and presented at the International Visual Sociology Association (IVSA) conference in 2019.

We Just Like to Eat (2016)

We Just Like to Eat is an experimental short film that juxtaposes the visceral act of slaughtering a chicken with the intimate sounds of a family enjoying their meal. By intertwining these contrasting moments, the film highlights the hidden labour behind consumption.
