I am Habib, a media sociologist and filmmaker at the University of Sydney. My research looks at public sociology, documentary film, migration, and digital cultures.

I’m the Media Thematic Group Convenor for The Australian Sociological Association and Associate Editor of Global Iranian Studies Review.

 

Through Others Film, I offer:

  • Workshops that help participants create public sociological films designed to open dialogue and spark reflection.

  • Collaborative Projects where I work with communities to co-produce documentaries that amplify lived experiences and challenge dominant narratives.
